LGBT Covers and The Perils of Stock Sites (NSFW?)

Do you guys know how hard it is to find decent LGBT stock images? Let me tell you a little story to illustrate. The other night I was organizing my diversity page, where I highlight the pre-made covers which feature racially, culturally and sexually diverse covers and cover models, and I realized I don’t have any gay boys or men. So with the goal of remedying that, I hit the stock image sites. I started at 123RF and perhaps foolishly went with the search term “gay”.

This is what I got:

(images Copyright (c) 123RF Stock Photos)

And this is what I did:

Because who would even TAKE a picture like that let alone upload it onto a professional stock site? I’m not a prude or anything, but really, back door gummie bears? It’s not to be borne.

The moral of the story is: something. I’m not sure what. Know your search terms? Stock photographers give us more LGBT stock photos? Help me out here, and please, no more gummie bears having sex, gay or straight.
