The bulk of the indie publishing business is genre or category fiction, especially romance. But this is changing; more authors in a variety of genres are beginning to see indie publishing as a more reliable way to control their product and their income stream. I believe we will start seeing a lot more of the under-represented genres in indie publishing, particularly in literary fiction.
