Covers Without Characters

I read a confession on one of those reader confession blogs the other day that went along the lines of “I never read a book with photograph of models or people on the cover”.

While I think that’s ridiculous and limiting, I do acknowledge that some of my clients share this preference. This makes my job harder, I won’t deny it. But I’m always up for a challenge and I do think sometimes a cover based on something other than models is what best suits a book. They can be the basis of a really cool series brand too.

Here are some “non-model” covers I’ve done. What do you think?
